Canadian designer Lukas Peet has created a set of cutlery comprising a silver fork and spoon and a ceramic knife

Ribbon Cutlery by Makoto Yamaguchi

The pieces are meant to relfect ribbon as it is held between the fingers. We don’t know how easy it would be to eat with these, but we could look at them all day long.

Exhausted Cutlery by Kathryn Hinton

Her pieces include lettering on the prongs of forks that correspond with words imprinted in bowls and the Exhausted range (below), where cutlery follows the shape of objects it appears to collapse onto.

Gone Fishin’ Cutlery by Yamazaki

Each piece in this stainless steel collection is whimsically fish-shaped, right down to tail, fins, and eyes, and the pointed tips of the spoon bowls even create little mouths.

Talented 18 year old Andrew Kim, a freshman at College for Creative Studies put together an impressive project for a coke bottle re-design that is both eco-friendly and innovative – reinventing packaging in a revolutionary way.

This is his midterm project for his second semester at College for Creative Studies

Rocking chairs are often associated with seniority and grandmas. Things are about to change. Recently I have come across an innovative and modern rocking chair design that will blow your mind. Designed by Novague Design Studio, the Rocking Shell Chair redefines modern furniture. Say hello to rocking chair 2.0

The first thing you notice about this chair is its ergonomic streamline design. But what’s really special about this particular rocking chair is that it is fitted with a dynamo that provides enough electricity for a LED lamp specially designed for reading. In other words, this chair is completely power independent and movement from rocking the chair can generate sufficient power for reading or whatever you’re doing.
